The chef's kitchen garden is now becoming very productive and we are having lots of fun adding these fresh ingredients into many of our dishes and specials. Along with the assortment of herbs we're using from the herb garden we now have an abundance of courgettes, runner beans and french beans, baby cucumbers which we are pickling, beetroots, spring onions, summer cabbages, landcress, flowering rocket, mange tout and sugar snap peas, broad beans, pak choi and baby kale.
Our specials today are; *Spicy sweet potato soup. *Yellow courgette and kale quiche. *Half local lobster with Jersey royals, alioli and our kitchen garden salad. *Pan fried fillet of seabass with gazpacho and dauphinoise potatoes. *Salad nicoise with tuna, egg, potato, french beans and anchovies. *Chef's seafood plate with smoked salmon, ceviche, prawns, white crab bound with mayonnaise, mussels and avocado. *Homemade Italian lasagne with garlic bread & salad garnish.
Todays Roast lunch is hand carved roast topside of beef with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, Jersey royals, runner beans from our garden, roast parsnips, carrots and mash.

from 1pm to 4pm today our roast lunch is Roast rib of beef with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, summer cabbage from our garden, roast parsnips, carrots and mash.
Other specials today are; Cream of mushroom soup. Half local lobster with jersey royals, alioli and salad. warm cured duck breast, chick pea and broad bean salad. Broccoli, stilton and rocket quiche. Pork & honey sausages with champ mash, red onion chutney and parsnip crisps. Chef's seafood plate with smoked salmon, prawns, white crab bound with mayonnaise, anchovies and avocado.

The Taming of the Shrew
From Tuesday the 12th July to Saturday 16th July the Samarès Players are presenting Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" directed by Jacqui Audrain in the beautiful grounds of Samarès Manor. Book here box office
For each night the Herb Garden Cafe will be open late until 7:30pm (last orders) for pre show meals. To follow the theme of the night we're serving classic Italian dishes such as an authentic lasagne and risotto. We also have a bar serving draught beers and local cider which and we will also be serving the dishes from our normal menu plus our daily specials.
